Wildflowers

Two drunk men sit next to a banyan tree.

One is deaf, and the other mute.

They laugh at each other, together.

Old, pale and hurt, yet a deep smile

Such a wonderful sight...

They know not of the other, but of an open heart.

Two men sit next to a banyan tree, drunk on the spirit of love.

Like wildflowers, this bloom is their purpose,

is their soul...

Longings for a Stranger

Heavy pains burden my heart, as it longs for the things it cannot possess

It grows intense with an emotion, dark as a forest, soft as velvet

Swaying through this possession, I feel aloof, yet ardent,

For the things I carry, now mean little to me, and my heart

Is enslaved by an angel, a gentle breeze on a silent river bed.

What is kept in this desire, I ask myself

Chaining me down, yet giving me hope

A fantasy crawling within me,

Warm as the sun, soft as snow.

Within such desires, I search for my soul,

Within this longing, I seek my abode,

But the fear of submission is now too strong,

Sacrifices are real, the fall too long.

For true love is devotion, a perfect form of submission

A treat to God, a celebration in heaven.

So I ask of thee, to bless me with courage

To enter his heart and immerse in his dream.

A divine love is all I seek…
