Anila Anandan

Migration

He was the last man to quit.

Undoing. Unevolving.

Gouted legs stared at the strange way ahead.

Mind straight and sharp, took a superhuman pace,

in thirst of extinction.

Kamandalu in the left hand

Left behind eleixir drops that soon died,

flourishing no human trace anymore.

No more mistakes.

Far there was the horizon.

He stood there still, envisaging the golden rays of beginning.

He, now the foetus again,

And the world there outside, his womb.

Niche.

Swasthi.
