Dr. A. Chandra Bose

Where Do I Go?

You say

Stay at home

Homeless I am

Where do I go?

Walk a little

Find nothing

Empty, Empty everywhere

Shutting doors

Slammed at my face

Busy roads sans buses

Uneasy calm

Hear my heart

You say

Stay at home

Homeless I am

Tired foot battling to glide

The park which I dwell

Locked at twelve

With little energy

An oasis found

People of my caste stood in a circle

Three meters, three echoed my ears

Masked men’s stick

Kissed at my back

Somehow I secured a circle

A circle with a long distance

A nearby folk coughed and sneezed

Then

Masked angels have lifted him

Moved with a siren van

Oh God

How fortunate he was?

He will get food and shelter.

You say

Stay at home

Homeless I am

Where I go?
